Please join ASHA for a webinar focused on supporting Local Education Agencies (LEAs) and school districts across the nation meeting the US Department of Agriculture's local school wellness policy requirements. The District of Columbia's Office of the State Superintendent of Education (OSSE) developed comprehensive local wellness policy resources that are aligned to the Whole School, Whole Community, Whole Child Model, and include all health and wellness requirements from both the federal and local levels. This training will provide a high level review of the policy requirements, an overview of OSSE's new resources, available for adaptation to suit the needs of others at both the district and LEA levels, and provide attendees with the opportunity to receive live technical assistance around tailoring local wellness policy templates to best meet the needs of individual school districts and LEAs.
